Your questions about DeepArk.

DeepArk is an app for identifying marine species in your photos and collecting your snorkeling and scuba diving encounters. It combines AI identification with human review when the result is uncertain.

This website lets you explore DeepArk’s features and compare its free and paid plans. It does not offer app downloads or subscription purchases.

One account, the free monthly allowance and the paid plan cover both modes. Each mode has its own species collection, experience points (XP), level and rankings. Switching modes preserves progress, but XP cannot transfer. Paid private groups can include discoveries from both practices.

The image waits for human review. One free import is reserved until confirmation or rejection for poor quality or duplication; AI and human review count as one import. It stays assigned to its submission month. No card or XP is awarded before confirmation.

Five photo imports are shared across your account each month and reset on the first, without rollover. Confirmed identifications, poor-quality images and duplicates count. Technical failures do not. When the allowance runs out, new free imports wait until renewal or a paid subscription.

Only one observation and card are kept per species, zone and mode. Another zone can add a card and eligible XP. A later date or different spot within the same zone does not reset this rule. The other mode requires a separate, real encounter.

Video imports belong to the paid plan. You manually choose the frame for identification. One video may contain several different species; each observation must meet the uniqueness rules. Reusing the same encounter in another mode or zone is not allowed.

Rarity describes the encounter in its zone, rather than the species everywhere. An eligible Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary discovery awards 10, 20, 40, 70 or 100 XP respectively. The scale is identical for both plans and both modes.

No. Only eligible discoveries award XP. Missions and collections guide exploration, and badges mark achievements. XP and levels remain separate by mode, as do zone, country and world rankings. Ranking scores accumulate without a periodic reset.

No. You can choose any covered zone manually. With permission, location helps display the zone around you. Listed species are possibilities, not guaranteed encounters. Browsing a species does not unlock a card, and current location alone does not prove where a photo was taken.

Private groups are part of the paid plan. You choose a card and a group to share it with; nothing is shared automatically. Group members can filter discoveries by mode. When paid access ends, you leave the groups, but content already shared remains for their paid members.

A standalone image of your personal card, without the app interface. It features your photo, the species’ common and scientific names, the zone and rarity styling, with no date. Detailed species information stays in the app.

Free access includes five photo imports per month. The paid plan costs US$3.99 per month or US$29.99 per year. Both billing options include the same features for both modes: unlimited photo and video imports and analyses, private groups and card downloads.
