How it works

How DeepArk identifies marine species.

From a clear photo to a personal species card: discover DeepArk’s four steps, including AI identification and human review when the result is uncertain.

  1. Bring back your encounter

Choose Snorkeling or Diving, then import a clear photo of a species you actually encountered. With the paid plan, you can also import a video and manually select the frame to analyse.

  2. Place the discovery

Select the covered zone where the encounter really took place. A zone is required for every observation; adding a more precise spot is optional.

  3. Learn what you met

AI provides a first identification and species information. If the result is uncertain, the image waits for human review. Neither a card nor experience points (XP) are awarded until the identification is confirmed and all other conditions are met.

  4. Make it part of your story

An eligible discovery adds a card to that mode’s personal species collection and can earn XP. Collections, missions and badges give your exploration direction; only eligible discoveries add XP.

Room for a second look.

Identification can be wrong. You can report a suspected error for review. When an error is confirmed, the observation, card and affected XP and rankings are corrected, without awarding points twice.

Real encounters make the collection.

Only your own real observations are eligible. Internet images and generated images are excluded. Available evidence helps check authenticity, but missing metadata alone does not mean rejection, and the checks cannot guarantee every claim.
